Trace the outline of the Mexican state in which your city is located.  Label (in CAPITAL LETTERS) the name of the state.

Label (in Spanish) all bodies of water and all the countries which border Mexico.

Research the information listed below.  Incorporate every requirement into a “postcard” you will “sending” to a friend back home.  Be especially careful to use your own words.  Put a picture on the back of the postcard.   Be sure to check spelling and proof read what you write.

This section must also be typed on a word processor.  Spelling is very important. You must add accent marks: If necessary, add them by hand after you print. Copy the following questions.  Write the answer beneath each question.

Write the number in Spanish words.  Immediately after the Spanish number, put the numeral in parentheses.

Ex: Hay doscientos mil  (200.000) habitantes en Granada.

Advertisement:            (PAGE 4)

Create an advertisement for a hotel in your city.  This can be a poster, a brochure, an insert etc.  It will not contain blocks of text.  Its purpose is to get information across in a visually attractive manner. No English anywhere on the advertisement. 

 

REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR THE HOTEL ADVERTISEMENT:

·         Name, full address, (including city name) and phone number of a hotel in your city.

·         Cost of a room for 2 people staying one week. Give the price in both pesos and in U.S.  Dollars. (Use www.xe.com to convert.)

"Una semana para dos personas" means "One week for 2 people"

·         Features (servicios) that make a hotel attractive.

 

 Print out the Hotel Research Worksheet to record the information you gather.

Research what is typically eaten in your city and/or state.  Try to find dishes that have a specific connection with your city or state.  Create a one-page dinner menu for an imaginary restaurant in your city.  Use pictures to illustrate.

GRADE SHEET: (Page 6)

Shortly before the due date you will receive a copy of the grade sheet. This must be included as Page 6 of your written report.
